Our scholarship program is in the works.
This is where you will find applications for scholarships, information on eligibility, and the selection process. You will also learn about scholarship recipients. Our goal is to provide monetary scholarships to hard-working, deserving seniors at North Mecklenburg High School who want to further their skills or education. Scholarships will be awarded to those who have worked hard, not only in their academics or trade skills, but in other areas that have benefited the school and/or community. There will be scholarships for colleges, vocational schools and certification programs. Eventually, after we have raised enough money, we hope to expand our scholarship program to include Alumni who want to return to college or vocational school or who never had the chance to go in the first place!
BUT... first we need to raise money. Please donate to North Alumni working together... for each other and for the future.
There are many other great scholarships that support North Mecklenburg students. The well-known Angels of '97 offers scholarships to North Meck & Hopewell seniors. The newly establish Teachers' Memorial Scholarship supports seniors pursuing a degree in education.
Q: When will the scholarship application be available?
A: As soon as we generate enough money to offer a scholarship, we will post the application online, and make it available in various locations. Providing scholarships to deserving students is one of our primary goals as an organization, so please check back often.
Q: Will I be eligible for a NMHSAA scholarship?
A: We plan to offer different scholarships that have different eligibility requirements, we will have more specific details on these in the near future. To be eligible for any of our scholarships you must be a current North Mecklenburg student, or a North Mecklenburg Alumni. Please check back for further details.
Q: How can I donate money towards a scholarship?
A: You can donate money to an existing scholarship by visiting the donation page and selecting "scholarship fund" on the donation menu.
Q: How can I start a scholarship in a loved one's name?
A:If you are interested in establishing a scholarship, please contact the scholarship committee and we'll be happy to provide you with more information.
