Wayne Smith

Mr. Clavis Wayne Smith, 37, of 14701 Holbrook Rd., Huntersville, NC, died June 19, 1996, in Charlotte.

Born September 19, 1958, in Mecklenburg County, NC, Mr. Smith was son of Eddie and Ruth Caldwell Smith. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Huntersville United House of Prayer where he served as an usher.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cheryl Beliford Smith; two sons, Clavis J. Smith and Tyre J. Smith, both of the home; two daughters, Ms. Janiqua Haynes of the home and Ms. Janell Springs of Cornelius, NC; his parents, Eddie and Ruth Caldwell Smith of Huntersville, NC; five brothers, Harold Caldwell of California, James E. Caldwell of South Carolina, Eddie Smith Jr., Felix Smith and Anthony Smith, all of Charlotte; and six sisters, Ms. Barbara Thompson of Charlotte, Ms. Roberta Smith, Linda Smith and Fernell Carr, all of Huntersville, and Ms. Donna F. Smith and Debra Johnson, both of Charlotte.
