Peggy Ferguson Pierson , 63, of Charlotte, formerly of Davidson, died Sunday, September 2, 2001 at her residence. Born May 24, 1938 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Atlas and Margaret Kennan Ferguson . She was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School Class of 1957. She loved to travel, and collect dolls and bells.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Lewis Pierson ; sons, Joe Pierson and wife, Janet, of Huntersville, Walt Pierson and wife, Betty, and James Pierson , all of Taylorsville, Tom Pierson and wife, Barbara, of Mooresville; brothers, Edsell Ferguson of Indian Trail, Bill Ferguson of Huntersville; sisters, Betty Shinn of Huntersville, Eunice Vincent of Charlotte, Mary Rankin and Ellen Nichols both of Mt. Holly; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Interment was in Mecklenburg Memorial Park.
