Mrs. Alene Boyles Adams , 57, of Spring Lake, NC, formerly of Charlotte, died March 4, 1997, at University Hospital.

Born in Richmond, VA, Mrs. Adams was a 1957 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, leader of Rainbow Girls, and was secretary-bookkeeper with AMCELL Trucking.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald H. ``Ronnie'' Adams of Spring Lake, NC; sons, Scott Adams of Charleston, SC, and Hope Adams of Sanford, NC; parents, Albert and Mildred Boyles of Charlotte; brother, Richard Boyles of Marietta, GA; sisters, Mrs. Ann B. Brown and Mrs. Linda B. Black, both of Charlotte; and one granddaughter, Sadie Adams . She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Patty A. Bell.
