Steve Crittenden

December 16, 1957 - April 18, 2005

Mr. Crittenden, 47, of Huntersville, died Monday, April 18, 2005, peacefully at his home after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born to Ed and Doris Crittenden of Charlotte in Richmond, VA on December 16, 1957.

Steve was an outstanding athlete throughout his life playing football, baseball, softball, tennis and Hoover Ball. He graduated from West Charlotte High School in 1976 where he was All-County in football in 1975 and played in the Shrine Bowl in 1975. He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1980 on a full football scholarship, making All NAIA District 26 in 1979 and All
Conference in 1979.

Steve was founder and President of Southern Fitness Products, Inc
for 21 years. He was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church. Next to his love for golf, was his serious love for the 'Beloved Green Bay Packers'.

Steve was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Bonnie Williams Crittenden; son, Tyler, of Huntersville; parents, Ed and Doris Crittenden of Charlotte; sister, Becky Boyce and brother-in-law, Doug, of Alpharetta, GA; brother, David Crittenden and sister-in-law, Dr. Susan Crittenden, of Cary, NC; nieces, Elizabeth Trifiletti of Charlotte, Sara Crittenden and Katy
Crittenden of Cary, NC; and nephew, Matthew Crittenden of Cary, NC.
