David Waymer

Mr. David Benjamin Waymer, Jr., 34, of Mooresville, formerly of Charlotte, died April 30, 1993, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville.

Mr. Waymer, born July 1, 1958, and a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., was a National Football League player with the Los Angeles Raiders and a graduate of West Charlotte High School. He attended University of Notre Dame and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of Pro Athletes In Action and a multidenominational Bible study group for NFL players.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara of Mooresville; son, David Waymer of Mooresville; mother, Mrs. Barbara Waymer of Charlotte; brothers, Ralph Waymer of Raleigh, Gerald Waymer of Atlanta; grandmother, Mrs. Willie Mae Moye of Charlotte.
